What is your attitude as an Executive Coach and what are your ethical standards? | Answer
To learn new things, to encounter new experiences in order to permanently expand my own horizon over the years and to put what I have learned into new situations and with people
into new relationships and perspectives, determines my life and my attitude in coaching.

How do your concepts fit my individual coaching process? | Answer
Your goals and your success are the sole measurements for our successful collaboration in Executive Coaching. I am curious about who you are, curious to find out what you want to achieve and love to support you best in reaching your goals with a broad variety of methods. However, the implementation into your practice is up to you. One of the most essential factors of success in Executive Coaching is the willingness of the coachee (you), to rapidly implement the insights, strategies and practices discussed in the coaching sessions into your personal environment. "Where there is no will, there is no way." |
How confidential is our collaboration in Executive Coaching? | Answer
Absolute confidentiality is an integral part of any coaching for me. |
On what kind of own leadership experiences you can rely on as an Executive Coach? | Answer
As a longtime Managing Director, Founder and CEO with P & L responsibility - with both positive and negative experiences - I often know exactly how it feels like in certain challenging leadership situations you may face. Personal experiences in solution-oriented handling of these challenging situations which one often only will experience in Senior management positions, allow me to pragmatically support you best with a comprehensive understanding of your special situation and challenges. |
How important are leadership issues for you as an Executive Coach? | Answer
Leadership topics to be seen from the Executive's perspective and their effects on associates as well as on the organization as a whole was and still remains as my practical and academic subject, since I suddenly was promoted into quite high leadership positions at a very young age (rather unprepared, inexperienced and without Mentor). As a consequence, already in 1990 the subject of my last thesis was "The new development and implementation of a Leadership Style Analysis to measure the social, emotional and communication skills sets of leaders at all levels as the base for leadership training and first coachings" for Reynolds Tobacco International in Cologne / EMEA. Based on these insights and experiences, I continued to gain deeper insights through further, intense theoretical and practical leadership trainings and assignments. In fact, I also received the relevant assessment trainings for the selection of Top Executives in an International context and learned to use and apply the leading internationally accepted psychometric instruments. Moreover - between 1995 and 2014 - I also had the opportunity to co-design and conduct Leadership Programs for the TOP 100 Leadership personalities of different Fortune 500 firms. |
How much do you work internationally? | Answer
Travelling, getting to know diverse people, other cultures and lifestyles has been my passion for decades. Therefore, I am working on an International scale since 1985. Nowadays, as a full-time Executive Coach I work together in teams of leading international Recruiting- and Coaching companies with coachees in different countries since 2002. This way I have had the pleasure to conduct quite a few successful international, often intercultural Executive Coaching Assignments in every country in Europe, the Middle East, in Central Eastern Europe and some in Asia - Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and of course the United States (East and West Coast) over the last 20 years. |
Which industries did you serve in your career? | Answer
Already as a young consultant in Human Resources Management Consulting (Boertien & Partners, Amsterdam) and also in Reengineerung / Change Management at Gemini Consulting, Bad Homburg, I realized that focusing on different industries on the basis of value chains offers considerable benefits for the often necessary deep understanding of any industry to make a difference. Knowing the specific practices, cultures and interdependencies between OEM, suppliers, service providers and customers in the respective industry, is a substantial benefit in order to support you best in large Change initiatives and in any Executive Coaching setting. Therefore I once strategically defined key industries in which I work since the early 90's - please see the "Valued Customers" section for detailed information: Mobility, Finance, Communications, IT and Media, Major Brands, Trade and Logistics, Production and Raw materials, Healthcare/Life Sciences and International Professional Services Firms. |
